Overall objective of the project

The aim of the project is the single plant treatment with liquid fertilizers in rape and corn production based on georeferenced triangular seeding patterns. In this context technolgies should be developed enabling a single plant treatment within the cultivation frame. An exact single plant treatment allows the reduction of nitrogen fertilizers being needed for cultivation, without having effects on yield. The measurement of actual fertilizer demand of single plants in dependency of growing stage, soil and weather parameters is done with modern noninvansive sensing technologies. To ease the profil of requirements needed for single plant treatment it will be focussed on liquid mineral and organical fertilizers. For the exact placement of the seeds in the soil and the spot spraying of the liquid fertilizers a robot system will be used. With this method a more resource efficient and sustainable fertilization of cultured plants is aimed without having negativ impact on the yield.
