The proposed pilot study is intended to determine whether, as a result of the ban on the use of insecticides with risks for bees or pollinators, and the consistent implementation of the principles of integrated pest management in protected areas (e.g. Natura 2000 sites), will promote the ecosystem services by beneficial insects and, consequently, increased natural pest control can be observed on farmland. Furthermore, it will be investigated whether these objectives can be further strengthened by means of ecological enhancement for these areas or their surroundings.
