Research associate in the DFG-funded project ResisToR
Identification and characterization of new sources of resistance to develop Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV) resistant tomato plants by the:
- Utilization of GFP-tagged dsRNA-binding protein in Nicotiana benthamiana to isolate susceptibility genes (S-genes).
- Application of CRISPR-Cas9 technology to modify key S-genes.
- Use of mass spectrometry and functional analyses to understand the role of S-genes during viral infection.
