Tasks

Scientific collaboration in the SiRT project:

• Study of sulfur induced resistance/tolerance (SiRT) in beech and oak.
• Nutrient analysis, in particular sulfur analysis of tree and forest soil samples to map sulfur availability at different forest sites.
• Coordination and implementation of fertilization experiments at forest sites and in the greenhouse to study the relationship between sulfur availability and health status of beech and oak trees.
