- Head of the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) of the JKI for phytoplasmas
- Deputy head of the NRL of the JKI for entomology
- Research work on the epidemiology and control of phytoplasmoses and other vector-borne vine diseases ('Flavescence dorée', 'Bois noir' and 'Xylella fastidiosa')
- Studies on the biology of Auchenorrhyncha as vectors of plant diseases
- Electrical Penetration Graph (EPG) technique to analyse the vector-host plant interaction of Auchenorrhyncha
